General Terms and Conditions (GT&Cs)

With the term hut, the hut keepers and all employees of Konkordiahut and Oberaarjochhut are included.

Reservation and cancellation

In high-mountain terrain, not everything can be planned for, and we understand the need to postpone or cancel. Nevertheless, it is up to the guest to inform the hut of any delays, cancellations and route changes in good time.

  1. Both written and verbal reservations are binding. They shall not come into force until confirmed by the hut. The General Terms and Conditions shall apply for every confirmed reservation.
  2. Cancellations, changes to group sizes and reservations must be reported by the guest at the latest by 10.00am of the day the night is booked. For groups with 8 people or more any cancellation must be made at the latest by 8pm the day before the night booked.
  3. Cancellations and changes are accepted after confirmation. Minute cancellations and changes must always take place by telephone.
  4. Any changes/cancellations of the places booked which are not reported or are reported late, as well as no-shows without cancellation, are payable. The hut is entitled to invoice the full amount for the board and lodging.
  5. Disputes regarding reimbursement arising from late cancellations are to be submitted for judgement in the first instance to the lawyer on the SAC Central Managing Committee.

Identification obligation

  1. Members’ tarifs shall only be granted on presentation of a valid identity card, in accordance with the current list of reciprocal rights of the SAC / UIAA. (see Guidelines of the Swiss Alpine Club SAC, Item 4)
  2. Special rates shall require presentation of the relevant valid legitimation (e.g. children and young adults, SAC huts pass, etc.)
  3. Free overnight stays for mountain guides and trainee mountain guides in their professional capacity shall only be granted on presentation of a valid IVBV identity card. (see Hut Regulations of the Swiss Alpine Club SAC, Item 5.6.5)

Prices and payment
