Here you can literally sit down in the pioneering days of the SAC. It could hardly be more original and honest today! The Bergli hut passed from the ownership of the Bern section to the SAC Grindelwald a few years ago, with the clear aim of preserving a piece of nostalgia.
So it still presents itself today as it did over a hundred years ago. Lovingly maintained, unadorned and romantic.
NEWly renovated...
In 2021, the Bergli hut was extensively renovated and put back on a solid foundation for the future. Its original charm was deliberately preserved.
there & away
The exposed location on a rocky spur in the middle of the Arctic Ocean requires mountaineering skills to reach it. The easiest way is from the Jungfraujoch via the lower Mönchsjoch in about 2.5 hours.

The Bergli and Konkordiahütte both belong to the SAC Grindelwald section. As the little sister of the Konkordiahütte, it is also allowed to present itself on the latter's website.
