Winter

... A touch of the Arctic

When the first migratory birds head northwards, the touring and winter season begins in the Aletsch region. From around mid-March to Whitsun, conditions at these altitudes are often ideal with a well-snowed glacier and stable snow conditions. The Konkordiahütte is then continuously manned. The Aletsch region is predestined for extended ski tours lasting several days. The numerous huts are ideally distributed so that a change of hut can be ideally combined with one or more summit destinations, depending on requirements and conditions. This area is also great for exploring on snowshoes.
