Gisela and Andreas
Looking forward to many contrasts and encounters
We and the whole team would like to warmly welcome you and look forward to returning to the adventure on the mountain.
Our hard-working helpers
Nadine
The hut experienced
Nadine works as a physiotherapist and spends her free time either in the gym or in the mountains. She will once again be a valuable team player supporting us at the Konkordia Hut this summer. Her cheerful personality lightens the mood in any situation.
Philipp
v/o Quid
Pipo worked in the kitchen of a well-known mountain inn in the Alpstein region the season before last. After a summer season, he wants to climb even higher and rejoin the team at the Konkordia Hut. As a dedicated member of the Swiss Christian Youth Association (Cevi), he already knows what big cooking pots are like.
Monika
The family person
Monika has probably cooked for many hungry mouths in her life. Just like last season, she will be supporting us high up on the eagle's nest with her cooking and baking skills. Her long-cherished dream of working in a mountain hut is now coming true once again.
Lina
The whirlwind
Lina successfully completed her apprenticeship as a chemical laboratory assistant last summer. As a youth leader in the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC), she also enjoys ski touring. This is perfect for us. She now wants to gain additional experience at our mountain hut. She already had the opportunity to get her first impressions during a 10-day stay at the Konkordia Hut in the summer of 2021. Now, this will lead to a full ski touring season.
Sven
our jack-of-all-trades
After a trial weekend at the Konkordia mountain hut, Sven caught the hut bug. For a month, he can now escape his office routine and help out with us up there during the ski touring season.
Eveline
The Appenzell women
Eveline is a primary school teacher and will be joining our team from mid-July. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the mountains or cycling on her racing bike or mountain bike. We also have the perfect location for her baking and cooking, another passion of hers.
Jan
The all-rounder
Jan has already spent a full season working at a Swiss Alpine Club hut in the Engadine region. The mountains provide the perfect balance to his IT job. He will be actively supporting us for one month each in the spring and summer.
Silvio
The senior architect
Silvio is actually enjoying his early retirement. But that doesn't stop him from pitching in again at our mountain hut. As a keen mountaineer, he's already conquered many a summit.
Iris
The gastronomy expert
We know Iris from GastroSuisse. We would also like to benefit from her expertise. She enjoys spending time in the mountains and would like to work where others spend their leisure time. She will also be part of the team during the summer months.
Antonia
The cooking and home economics teacher
Antonia is using her time off from work to complete altitude training with us. Cooking in large pots and experiencing camp life – a few meters higher than usual. Towards the end of the ski touring season, she's been a great help to us.
Nico
The Junior Architect
Beach or mountains? A clear choice for Nico! After graduating with a degree in architecture, he's now seeking challenges in the everyday life of a mountain hut. In his free time, he's involved in the Scouts (v/o Adagio) and enjoys hiking in the mountains. He's already helped out in various camp kitchens, enjoys lending a hand, and remains calm even in hectic situations.
Fritz
The man for all occasions
Fritz has known our cabin for many years and is practically part of the furniture. He's a reliable resource whenever, for example, a handyman is needed. No matter what, he's always there to lend a hand. It's wonderful that we can also count on his valuable support when necessary.
Tilicho
Chief Happiness Officer
Yes, that's really his name. Our new employee for the 2026 season, named after what is probably the highest lake in the world at the foot of Annapurna. He's responsible for the well-being and satisfaction of both staff and guests. This Labrador with roots in Graubünden loves to be petted. Even though he begs with his irresistible puppy-dog eyes, he's only fed by the hut wardens.
Hut manager
Christoph
Hut manager
Christoph is our primary contact person for the Grindelwald section. We regularly benefit from his extensive knowledge. He passionately supports us in many areas!
